Who we are

Steven Mark & Associates operates this site. The business is owned and run by Steven Mark in Pasadena, California. This page tells you what happens to your information when you visit.

What we collect

You give us information directly when you:

• Send a message through our contact form (your name, email, company, and whatever you write)
• Subscribe to the newsletter (your email address)
• Buy something (your name, email, and payment details, which our payment processor handles, not us)
• Book a call (your name, email, and whatever you enter in the scheduling tool)

Our host also keeps standard server logs for every visit: IP address, browser type, the page that referred you, and the time of the request. Every website does this. We use it to keep the site up and to spot abuse.

How we use it

We use what you give us to answer you, deliver what you asked for, send the emails you signed up for, and improve the site. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Analytics and advertising

We may use analytics and advertising tools on this site, including Google Analytics 4 and the Meta pixel. These tools set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and report on page views, traffic sources, and actions like submitting a form. Meta may use that signal to measure our ads and to show you ads on Facebook and Instagram.

What these tools report to us is counts and patterns, not your name. You can block them in your browser. See Your choices below.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We use them to keep the site working and, where the tools above are running, to measure traffic and ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works if you do.

Third parties

We use these services to run the business. Each one has its own privacy policy.

• Netlify hosts the site and receives contact form submissions.
• Beehiiv runs the newsletter. Every email carries an unsubscribe link.
• Stripe processes payments. We never see or store your card number.
• Cal.com handles call scheduling.
• Google Workspace handles our email, calendar, and files.
• Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces (your browser requests them from Google).
• Google and Meta, when the analytics and advertising tools above are active.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment details stay with the processor. Access to our systems is limited. No site is perfectly secure, so we do not promise absolute protection.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email steve@stevenmarkassociates.com or use the contact form, and we will do it.

• Unsubscribe from email with the link at the bottom of any message.
• Block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
• Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and adjust ad settings in your Facebook and Instagram account settings.
• California residents have added rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we hold and the right to have it deleted. We do not sell your personal information. When the advertising tools above are active, sharing site activity with Meta for ad measurement can count as sharing under California law; you can opt out by blocking cookies for this site or emailing us at steve@stevenmarkassociates.com and we will stop the pixel for you.

Children

This site is not aimed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes

We update this page when what we do changes. The effective date at the top is the last time it changed.
